Faculty Development

As part of its continued effort to provide professional development to the uniformed pediatric community, the Department of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), under the direction of fellowship trained academic pediatricians, is sponsoring the Uniformed Services Faculty Development Course.

This multifaceted program offers a wide variety of learning modules as part of a traveling educational forum for pediatric teaching institutions.

The inaugural presentation for the pediatric training programs was presented at the USPS 2001 in Louisville, Kentucky on March 2, 2001.  Since that time, courses have been offered at Tripler Army Medical Center (Honolulu, Hawaii), Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth (Portsmouth, Virginia), Keesler Air Force Medical Center (Biloxi, Mississippi), and the Naval Medical Center San Diego.

Further information, to include the modules available and how to invite the course to your facility, can be obtained by reading the Uniformed Services Faculty Development Course brochure. Upcoming course offerings can be found at Projected Courses.
